He trained at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Monash Health. He decided on a sea change and worked in general practices in beautiful Warrnambool and Port Fairy for six years, where he acquired a broad range of experience in rural general practice including chronic disease, acute and inpatient care, aged care and procedural skills.
He also has additional diplomas in Child Health and O&G. He enjoys all aspects of family medicine but has a particular interest in chronic disease, diabetes and endocrinology. Outside of work, he is a keen cyclist, dabbles in guitar and loves to travel.
